How we control weeds
Stop weeds early, then keep after them all season
Weed control isn’t a one-time spray. Our Standard and Gold programs start with a spring pre-emergent, then treat weeds again on visits through summer and fall, finishing with a late-fall winterization weed control and fertilizer.
The spring pre-emergent stops crabgrass before it comes up, and the weed control visits that follow treat broadleaf weeds in the lawn.
An organic fertilizer is combined in all of our treatments to help reduce pesticide use while getting the same great results. Our managers are Ohio Department of Agriculture certified pesticide applicators.

Beds and mowing
Weeds in beds, and mowing that helps
Bed weed control
Weeds are an unavoidable fact of any plant bed. Continual maintenance keeps your beds looking their best. See our landscaping services for bed maintenance and mulching.
How high should I mow?
During the spring and summer months we recommend mowing no lower than 3 inches. Lawns mowed too low become subject to excess weed growth and possible grass dormancy. In the fall, we recommend mowing as low as possible to prevent snow mold.
How much does weed control cost?
Weed control is part of our lawn programs, and every program is priced by a free estimate. No prices to guess at.
